Aug. 30, 2024 — We were excited to host a special visit from the Panda Cares Foundation this week at our Teen Clubhouse. The event featured delicious food from Panda Express as we celebrated our ongoing partnership to promote academic support.
During the 2023-2024 academic year, 225 Club members at Halkin and Jefferson elementary schools participated in Project Learn’s Power Hour, thanks to the Panda Cares Foundation. Through these grants, BGCSL staff offers academic support, including subject-specific tutoring and interactive activities to reinforce learning in school. Our Project Learn, Power Hour, literacy games, and other activities are based on social-emotional principles. This method ensures that students are fully engaged and actively participating in their learning, allowing them to absorb information more effectively.
