We’re excited to announce that Daryl Lee Thomas, a seven-year board member, has been appointed Chair of the Board of Directors for Boys & Girls Clubs of San Leandro.

Boys & Girls Clubs of San Leandro is thrilled to announce the expansion of its Expanded Learning After-School program to the New Haven Unified School District (NHUSD) in Union City and South Hayward. This exciting partnership will bring high-impact youth enrichment programs during critical non-school hours to Emanuele and Hillview Crest elementary schools, marking the beginning of BGCSL’s involvement in the NHUSD community. 

Kim Pace, CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Leandro, and newly appointed Board President Daryl Lee Thomas appeared on KTVU to share recent milestones of the 77-year-old Club, plans for the future and how the Bay Area community can pitch in.

BGCSL hosted a special visit from the Panda Cares Foundation this week at our Teen Clubhouse. The event featured delicious food from Panda Express as we celebrated our ongoing partnership to promote academic support.

Members at our Madison Elementary School Club Site joined forces with Building Futures, a non-profit organization committed to constructing secure and supportive communities for underserved families facing homelessness or domestic violence.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Advocacy Engagement Recognition Program recognizes the advocacy work Clubs do daily, emphasizing impact, creativity, and innovation.
