School-Site Staff Join Initiatives to Help Families in Need during the Holiday Season

Throughout this holiday season, some of our school-site teams engaged in initiatives to uplift our community. They collaborated with their school’s PTAs and local non-profit organizations to identify families who needed extra support during this festive time.

Boys & Girls Clubs of San Leandro Honored with League of E.A.G.L.E.S. Gold Award for Board Engagement 

BGCSL proudly received the prestigious League of E.A.G.L.E.S. Gold award at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Pacific Regional Conference, held in Phoenix, Ariz. The award recognizes outstanding board engagement, with recipient organizations achieving at least 95 percent board participation in key activities, including board meetings, fundraising efforts, and committee involvement. 

Our Washington Elementary Club site hits a major milestone

Washington Elementary—one of our longest-running San Leandro school-based Club sites—hit a major milestone in September. The Club now serves over 50 percent of its student body in the after-school program.
