September, 2023 – The Boys & Girls Club of San Leandro is pleased to announce Adrian Taylor as its new Clubhouse Director. Adrian will oversee operations at the Teen Center, known as The Club, including team management, strategic partnerships, program delivery, and more.
Prior to joining BGCSL, Adrian founded and managed a consulting firm focused on youth development, health, and well-being. He also taught Black Literature, African Geography, and Global Studies at Cal State East Bay.
Adrian is originally from Oakland but lived and worked in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area for a number of years. There he attended Howard University on a baseball scholarship, earning his B.A. and M.A. in Philosophy and his Ph.D. in African Studies.
Adrian is thrilled to be back home in a position where he can make a significant impact on youth development through program design, management, evaluation, and technology, as well as incorporating his passion for the arts and sports.
