In celebration of Black History Month, KTVU Channel 2 in San Francisco featured Malachi “Malye” Ray, a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of San Leandro Teen Clubhouse. At just 18, Ray blends hard-hitting drums with rock and emo, crafting a sound that he calls “raw and emotionally charged.” As a senior at the East Oakland School of the Arts, he not only excels in music but also designs clothing inspired by his artistic vision, a talent he honed at the BGCSL Best Buy Teen Tech Center.
