Total Teen Takeover returned to the Teen Clubhouse this fall with a Friendsgiving edition focused on bringing teens together through shared experiences, creativity, and connection. Building on last year’s momentum, the Clubhouse was once again transformed into a vibrant, welcoming space where teens could relax, celebrate, and feel a strong sense of belonging.
Teens moved throughout the space, skating in the gym during a roller disco hosted in partnership with Church of 8 Wheels, catching up with friends, and sharing a Friendsgiving meal catered by Spicy Girl Meal Prep.
Hands-on activities were woven throughout the night, including a DIY ornament-making station led by TAGS San Leandro and an interactive AI Lab experience in the Teen Tech Center facilitated by the Lawrence Hall of Science. Community partners such as SAVE, Soluna, and representatives from San Leandro High School Academies also joined the event, connecting with teens and sharing resources in a welcoming, informal setting.
Adding to the sense of continuity and community, Club alumni returned as DJs and emcees for the evening, creating a familiar and energizing atmosphere that bridged past and present Club members.
By bringing together teens, alumni, and community partners, Friendsgiving illustrated how the Teen Clubhouse continues to foster meaningful connections and a sense of belonging for young people.
