The Boys & Girls Clubs of San Leandro has a six-member management team:
Kim Pace, Executive Director
Kim brings over 18+ years of experience in the Youth Development movement. Kim served as Youth and Teen Program Director for the Y.M.C.A. of San Francisco, managing a staff of 60 and serving up to 200 teens daily, overseeing development and programs for families and youth. She is the Past President and Youth Chair for San Leandro Rotary Club serving over 250 high school youth annually. Kim is a current Board member of Compete Youth, San Francisco and the Vice President of the San Leandro Improvement Association. She is a graduate of San Leandro Leadership. Kim grew up with a single mom and attended after school programs as a child. She worked her way through college as an after school program lead staff and understands the afterschool world from the ground up. Kim holds a Bachelors of Arts degree, San Francisco State University in International Studies and a minor in Third World Studies and American Studies from the University of East Anglia. She also holds an advanced degree in Spanish from the BC Metro Language School BCN. Kim is a born and bred San Leandran and resides in San Leandro with her husband.

Klaudia Hermosillo, Office Manager
Klaudia joined our BGCSL team in December 2018 as our new Office Manager. Klaudia brings close to a decade of administrative experience in the Expanded Learning field working in and around the state of California. Klaudia grew up on the Peninsula attending after school programming herself as a child and later worked as a front line staff for that same program.

Akin Joseph, Chief Operating Officer
Akin brings 8+ years of experience in youth development having worked with Special Olympics, Florida in a variety of positions supporting the Olympics in 67 Florida counties. He also brings management experience working with developmentally and intellectually disabled individuals creating opportunities for individual growth for them. Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised on the island of St. Thomas, Akin moved to Miami, Florida to pursue a college basketball scholarship at Voorhees College where he received a B.S. in Sociology. Akin had a 7-year professional basketball career playing in the United States for CBA, IBL, NBDL and vet camp with the Seattle Supersonics and 2 games pre-season with the Philadelphia 76ers and overseas as well as serving as a 2-year National Team representative with FIBA. Akin brings his competitiveness, team leadership and work with youth around the globe to our Club members.

Pat Marino, Capital Campaign Manager, Grant Writer
Pat brings 30+ years of experience in philanthropy having worked with corporate, community and individual foundations as well as multiple nonprofits primarily in the East Bay, but also in the San Francisco Bay Area. Pat was President of The Clorox Company Foundation; Executive Director, East Oakland Youth Development Foundation; consulting Program Officer with the Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream Foundation and Kaiser Aluminum’s corporate philanthropy program.Pat has worked with a wide range of nonprofit organizations assisting with fund development, strategic planning, board development and more.She worked to raise endowment funds for a local youth development organization as well as chairing the East Bay Funders, a group of 16-Bay Area foundations dedicated to neighborhood revitalization in Richmond and Oakland. Pat began her career as a high school teacher and has continued a focus on K-12 education and youth development. Pat holds an M.A. in History from the University of Illinois, was a Coro Foundation fellow, and has a California Community College credential.
