Members of the James Monroe Club celebrated Earth Day this month by partnering with the City of San Leandro to plant a tree at Floresta Park. This collaboration underscores the Club’s ongoing commitment to community service.
Elementary members joined together to clear the planting site and dig a hole for the new tree, learning about the process. With teamwork and muscle, they successfully planted the tree and gave it a much-needed gulp of water. Now, they can watch the tree grow from their Club site!
We thank the City of San Leandro for inviting our members to participate in this important event. Being involved enriches our members’ lives and empowers them to realize they can make a positive impact in our community.
